Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Rubbish Collection Bow is committed to conducting all aspects of its business in an ethical and responsible manner. We recognise that modern slavery and human trafficking are severe violations of fundamental human rights and we are committed to preventing these abuses within our operations and supply chains. This statement sets out the measures we take to identify, prevent, and address risks of modern slavery in our business.
Zero-Tolerance Approach
We operate a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, servitude, bonded labour, and human trafficking. This policy applies to every part of Rubbish Collection Bow, including all staff, agency workers, contractors, and any third parties acting on our behalf. We will not knowingly work with any organisation or individual involved in modern slavery practices, and we will terminate relationships where credible evidence of such activity is identified and not promptly and satisfactorily remedied.
Our zero-tolerance stance is embedded in our codes of conduct, recruitment processes, and supplier expectations. All staff are expected to act with integrity, comply with applicable laws, and report any concerns about potential modern slavery risks or incidents.
Our Operations and Supply Chain
Rubbish Collection Bow provides waste and rubbish collection services. Our supply chain includes providers of vehicles, uniforms, equipment, cleaning and maintenance services, office supplies, and labour agencies. We understand that certain areas of these supply chains, such as temporary labour and outsourced services, can be more vulnerable to exploitation and hidden labour abuses.
We aim to build long-term relationships with suppliers who share our values. We clearly communicate our expectations on ethical conduct, labour standards, and compliance with modern slavery legislation.
Supplier Due Diligence and Audits
We conduct proportionate due diligence on existing and new suppliers to identify potential risks of modern slavery. This process may include assessing the geographical location of operations, the nature of services provided, and the supplier's own policies and procedures relating to labour and human rights.
Where we identify higher-risk suppliers, we may carry out additional checks or request further information on employment practices, worker documentation, and use of subcontractors. We reserve the right to conduct or commission audits of suppliers to verify compliance with our standards. These audits may include site visits, worker interviews where appropriate, and reviews of personnel and payroll records.
If any concerns are raised during the audit process, we expect suppliers to develop and implement corrective action plans within agreed timeframes. Failure to address identified issues can lead to suspension or termination of the business relationship.
Reporting Concerns and Protection
We encourage all employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any suspicions or evidence of modern slavery or human trafficking connected to our business or supply chains. Concerns can be raised through line managers, our central management team, or via designated confidential reporting channels communicated internally.
Reports can be made anonymously where permitted, and all information will be treated sensitively. We will investigate all reported concerns promptly and thoroughly. We do not tolerate any form of retaliation or detrimental treatment against individuals who raise concerns in good faith, even if these are not ultimately substantiated.
Training and Awareness
Rubbish Collection Bow is committed to increasing awareness of modern slavery risks among staff whose roles involve procurement, supplier management, and workforce oversight. Training and guidance are provided so that colleagues can recognise warning signs, understand reporting routes, and appreciate their responsibilities under our policies and relevant legislation.
Monitoring, Review, and Continuous Improvement
We are committed to continual improvement in our approach to tackling modern slavery. We review our policies, risk assessments, and due diligence processes at least annually, and update them where necessary to reflect changes in our operations, supply chains, or applicable law.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed each year by our management team to ensure it remains effective, relevant, and proportionate to the scale and nature of our activities. We will continue to develop our processes, strengthen supplier engagement, and enhance transparency to reduce the risk of modern slavery in our business and supply chain.
This statement has been approved by the management of Rubbish Collection Bow and represents our ongoing commitment to respecting human rights and promoting fair and safe working conditions.
